1. Who we are
People's Patterns generates made-to-measure sewing patterns based on measurements you provide. Contact: hello@peoplespatterns.com
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may create multiple measurement profiles within one account. You may not share your account with others or resell access to patterns you have purchased.
3. Purchases and downloads
Pattern purchases are for personal use only. Each purchase entitles you to unlimited personal re-downloads of that pattern. Patterns may not be redistributed, resold, or shared.
4. Refund policy
Digital pattern downloads are non-refundable after download because they are generated specifically to your measurements. If you experience a technical issue, contact us at hello@peoplespatterns.com and we will make it right.
5. Intellectual property
All pattern geometry, software, and content on People's Patterns is owned by People's Patterns. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the pattern generation system.
6. Personal use license
Patterns purchased on People's Patterns are licensed for personal use. You may sew garments from these patterns for yourself, family members, and as gifts. You may not use these patterns to manufacture garments for sale without a commercial license.
7. Commercial use
If you are a tailor, designer, costume shop, theater company, or small label who wants to use our patterns commercially, contact us at hello@peoplespatterns.com to discuss a commercial license.
8. Pattern tester program
Approved testers receive free pattern credits in exchange for sewing a test garment and submitting fit feedback. Testers retain ownership of their photos and grant People's Patterns a non-exclusive license to display submitted photos on the site, social media, and marketing materials. You may withdraw photo consent at any time by contacting us.
9. Affiliate program
Affiliates earn a 30% commission on qualifying sales referred through their unique link. Commission is tracked via a 30-day cookie. Payouts are made monthly via PayPal once your balance reaches $20. We reserve the right to reject or terminate affiliate accounts that engage in misleading promotion, spam, or self-referral abuse.
10. User-submitted content
When you upload photos via the Share Your Make form or tester submission, you grant People's Patterns a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, resize, and promote those images on our website, social media channels, and email marketing. You retain full ownership and may request removal at any time.
11. Credit packs and subscriptions
Credit packs are one-time purchases; credits never expire. Subscription credits roll over while your membership is active. If you cancel a subscription, remaining credits are available until the end of the billing period. Unused subscription credits expire when the subscription lapses. All credit purchases are non-refundable.
12. Disclaimer
Patterns are provided as-is. Fit results depend on accurate measurements and fabric choice. We are not responsible for material costs incurred from a poorly sewn garment. We strongly recommend sewing a muslin test garment before cutting into your final fabric.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We will notify you by email if changes are material. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
