Terms of Service
The rules for using People's Patterns, buying digital downloads, joining community programs, and licensing generated patterns.
1. Who we are
People's Patterns generates made-to-measure sewing patterns based on measurements you provide. Contact: hello@peoplespatterns.com
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may create multiple measurement profiles within one account. You may not share your account with others or resell access to patterns you have purchased. You can request full account deletion from Account Settings or by emailing hello@peoplespatterns.com with the subject "Delete my account".
3. Purchases and downloads
The People’s Jeans is a one-time $49 purchase. It includes lifetime access, regeneration, and all available home print, projector, and copy shop formats. Pattern files may not be redistributed, resold, or shared.
4. Refund policy
If you are unsatisfied within 30 days and have not downloaded the pattern, contact us for a full refund. After download, contact us if a technical issue prevents access or if a careful test garment exposes a possible drafting problem. We will fix a technical access issue. We will also help identify and adjust a confirmed drafting issue. If either issue cannot be resolved, we will refund the purchase. Measurement accuracy, fabric behavior, fit preferences, and sewing affect the result.
5. Intellectual property
All pattern geometry, software, and content on People's Patterns is owned by People's Patterns. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the pattern generation system.
6. Garment making license
Your purchase allows you to generate and sew finished jeans for yourself, family members, friends, and paying customers. You may sell finished made-to-measure garments. Access belongs to the purchasing person or business and may not be shared with another pattern maker.
If you enter another person’s measurements, you must have their permission to use and store that information for the sewing job. Keep only the measurements and notes you need, protect access to the account, and delete the client profile when you no longer need it.
7. Pattern file restrictions
You may not sell, license, publish, upload, or give away generated pattern files, instructions, source data, or access credentials. Contact hello@peoplespatterns.com for uses that require sharing files across a larger organization.
8. Pattern tester program
Tester applications, approvals, and new assignment starts are paused while assignment-bound pattern access is completed and verified. Existing applications, assignments, submissions, and recorded media consent remain preserved. No current tester application promises pattern access, store credit, payment, or reimbursement.
9. Affiliate program
The affiliate program is paused and is not accepting new applications. No public commission rate, attribution window, minimum balance, payment method, or payout schedule is currently offered. Existing affiliate records remain available. Any existing written obligation is handled directly according to the terms recorded for that account.
10. User-submitted content
When you upload photos via the Share Your Make form or tester submission, you grant People's Patterns a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, resize, and promote those images on our website, social media channels, and email marketing. You retain full ownership and may request removal at any time.
11. Privacy, measurements, cookies, and analytics
Using People's Patterns requires body measurements for made-to-measure drafting. Our handling of body measurements, account data, cookies, affiliate tracking, analytics, deletion requests, and email unsubscribe options is described in the Privacy Policy. You agree to provide accurate measurements for any pattern you generate. Fit depends on the numbers, fabric, sewing method, and options you choose.
12. Legacy credits and redemption codes
Previously issued tester credits, gift codes, and redemption codes remain subject to the terms supplied when they were issued. The public storefront does not sell subscriptions, credit packs, format upgrades, or additional pattern products.
13. Disclaimer
Patterns are provided as-is. Fit results depend on accurate measurements and fabric choice. We are not responsible for material costs incurred from a poorly sewn garment. We strongly recommend sewing a muslin test garment before cutting into your final fabric.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. We will notify you by email if changes are material. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
